Arte

Sup guys and welcome to the FourthEye art page. Pretty straightforward as far as the type of content I’ll post here. Hopefully in the near future I’ll be publishing digital art pieces via a new drawing tablet if all goes well, but for the time being I thought I might start with pictures of some traditional freehand work I’ve done. I’m certainly not an expert or a pro by any means, I actually only got into art really less than half a year ago, but it’s become somewhat of a new passion and set of goals for me. Plus it never hurts to have more variety content amirite? I’ve currently only got maybe a handful of things really worth publishing and honestly not sure how they will look via the cameras I have available, but I’ll try to make it work I suppose. Traditional is certainly something I’ll probably continue with so I’ll likely continue to post those alongside digital art once we get to that point. If that sounds intriguing to any of you, then come and enter the realm of FourthEye arte.

Side note: I’ll try to add little notes below some of the drawings just to specify what it is and what I was going for. There is a lot of variance because I’m new and learning so it ranges from really good, to potato, to ok, to really good, to “why was this made?” Some of the drawings are based on reference, some are original ideas, everything is freehand no tracing, and everything was drawn by me. My artist name is Psychic_Orgy or Psy_Or as it’s usually abbreviated. Hope I don’t scare people with any of this stuff. Also fair warning my stuff is not always for the faint of heart. I mostly am drawing in a Japanese anime style, and some of it might get a bit adult just to be fair. Everything is more or less SFW, unless stated otherwise, but I would caution flaunting my stuff around grandma. You have been admonished(not a Diablo 1 beelzebub mod reference, definitely not……..).

Ok one more thing. As I may mentioned I’d like to do some commission work at some point, so keep in mind that I’m trying to establish an artist presence for that purpose as well. I’m drawing to express myself and to learn and grow mostly at this point, but some of my play around how I publish my stuff and everything will have commission as an additional point of focus, just to be transparent.

Piece #1: Excuse the extra notes and lines, some of my pieces I try to thoroughly critique in order to make the most of my practice. This piece is one of the first decent things I’ve ever really drawn and one of my earliest ones about a month and a half into drawing. I drew very little and not very often before that and haven’t taken art class outside of regular school, but was always ok at drawing non-animals or moving things. A decent number of hours went in before this to get to this level, and in this drawing itself to be sure. Apologies for the poor picture quality but this is the best I can really do at the moment, and my freehand work mainly utilizes light pressure, partially because I use mechanical pencils and that’s just my style I guess. This picture was based on a reference of some random character, and just did my best to mimic it basically, trying to improve and understand how the artist created certain lines and effects. Drawing primarily to learn has been the common thread between basically everything I’m gonna post for a while, although I do enjoy it as well, I’m exploring things that I might find scary specifically to expand my abilities and toolkit. This is in contrast to drawing to create the best possible end result, as I may end up doing with something like commission. Also sorry for how wordy this is, just a lot of background to cover.

Note: as I publish new things that I’m drawing I’ll try to draw them with taking pictures in mind so that you all can actually see the details and enjoy or analyze what the hell is happening. All of this first batch, which will be my posts over the next couple of engagements, are spur of the moment decision and I don’t want to butter up my work in photoshop or whatever either.

Piece #2: First off, I’ll probably be bouncing around a decent amount between different things that I’ve drawn in different time periods so please bear with me. This is something that I did yesterday as of this post, just practicing with shading and thinking more about lines of action, light source and volume and shape of the character head and model. Trying to work on taking my art from 2d to 3d for those that get what I mean. Making things really pop by trying to understand saturation and value and angles of the body, and convey that things are not flat with lines and other techniques. As you can probably tell this is a closer picture and a slightly further away picture to showcase different details and provide a, hopefully, not to bad view of what I made. Nothing crazy, still haven’t gotten to much color work yet which is next in my training but we will see how it goes. Hopefully not to hard on the eyes. I feel like this is a huge step up for my art as this is not from reference, totally from imagination, but I feel like I could’ve done better creating depth on the waist, just kind of wasn’t focusing on it.

Piece #3: Definitely a contender for the piece I’m most proud of. This was based on a reference and ended up being one of those things where I have no idea how I drew it, with like 3 months of drawing exp at the time. 100% freehand but next to the reference it really looks like it’s traced except for the skirt lol. Like how it came out a lot, but realized I can’t make highlights small enough for the eyes without a kneaded eraser or something.

Piece #4: My okay attempt at trying to draw a closeup from a theCecile video. Came out okay, never drawn this viewpoint nor in her style so it is what it is. I didn’t plan out the frame I tried to make so I ended up screwing up the right side and a few other things. Still pretty fruitful practice and was fun to do though. Hopefully not too offensive to the eyes or Cecile since she’s also an artist lol. Check out her youtube at theCecile on youtube btw, been enjoying her streams and stuff.

Piece #5: Definitely like where my art is going directionally with this drawing. This was intended just to learn from so I left some extra lines where the head shape would be. Could’ve done a better job placing the hair and not giving the character and 5 head, but I still think it looks good for what I was going for. Really trying to focus on making my characters 3d and really getting the anatomy down, starting with the head, face and neck. Somewhat inspired from some things I’ve learned from “theCecile” and a few other artists for sure.

Sup guys, hope you’re doing well. While I don’t currently possess a proper drawing tablet I’m considering opening things up for traditional art commission type stuff. Not only do I think this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to improve as an artist, but I’ve been trying to find ways to add value to my audience and bring myself and the Fourtheye project to the next level. My intention here is really to take on ideas I think I can deliver on and any commission can be established on a case by case basis. I love art a lot and honestly I need to make doing it sustainable, so I hope some of you will be interested in trying this out. Any specifics of what we do with the commission can be talked about privately or however you prefer, things like whether you’d like me to post it or not or if you’d like to use it for something and so on. I’ll continue to post the things I draw that I feel like posting as per usual, I actually have a few things on backlog I could post, so that’s not going anywhere. All of this will be yet another expansion of Fourtheye rather than a replacement of other content.
